Koehler close to committing

SAN ANTONIO - Of all the players travelling to San Antonio for the 2008 U.S. Army All-American game no player had a longer trip than Solomon Koehler.
The 6-foot-2, 305-pound guard prospect traveled from his home in the Pacific as he left Honolulu late on Saturday night to arrive in San Antonio by mid-afternoon.

"It's a dream come true to finally be here, in this great setting," Koehler said.
"I'm excited to see some good competition. It's good to be here finally. I was in the air a longtime. I left late last night."
It seems that the Kaneohe (Hawaii) Castle product may be one of the few players on the verge of a commitment this week.
"There isn't much new going on," he said.
"I'm thinking about making a commitment this week. My final three is Arizona, Hawaii, and San Diego State."
Koehler said he is leaning toward the Pac 10 school at this point.
"Arizona really stuck out to me cause I really like the coaching staff, I don't know, everything just felt right," he said. "I've been thinking about doing (it) this week."
