Knowles sitting on one offer

Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy athlete Demetri Knowles continues to sit on one scholarship. The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder has a few other schools picking up interest. What's his status at this time?
"Virginia has offered," he said. "Liberty is showing interest and I guess we'll see what happens there.

"I'm still under the radar, but Kansas, Connecticut and South Carolina have looked a bit."
Knowles claims a few schools stick out.
"I kind of like South Florida, Miami and Virginia," he said. "I kind of want to go somewhere I fit, and somewhere close to home. I have a lot of family in the Bahamas, where I'm from.
"I'm also looking for a place I fit and feel comfortable. I want somewhere I'd enjoy playing at."
Knowles claims he is eyeing an official to Virginia in October.
The Virginia athlete participated in a scrimmage against Amherst on Friday night, when he posted approximately 150-yards receiving and one touchdown.
"I started a bit towards the end of the season last year," he said. "Now I'm starting all the time and I'm more comfortable. I don't have to think about where this play or that play is, I can just do what I do."
A national track athlete as well, Knowles placed ninth in the 200 meter national junior worlds.
