Knighton seeing his recruiting rise

Princeton (N.J.) Hun School defensive tackle Hunter Knighton is a versatile prospect. To date, the 6-foot-6, 265-pounder has landed two offers, but has other colleges quite interested.
"Massachusetts offered me first and then about a week later Old Dominion offered," he said. "That's all of my offers right now."

However, many other programs are looking.
"I know Pittsburgh's coming back out in two weeks to look at me," he said. "I also visited Rutgers on Saturday and talked to Coach Flood. That was really good and they are interested."
Knighton went further on the Rutgers trip.
"That was my first time at Rutgers," he said. "It was really nice and I watched practice and they want me to come back in a few weeks for a four day visit. They also told me they plan to come to my school."
Knighton made a trip a couple weeks ago to Boston College as well.
"Boston College was great," he said. "I liked the coaching staff a lot and I got to see the school. It was a great place and they said they are definitely interested. They just want to know more about me and definitely want me to come to camp."
Does the lineman like any schools?
"I don't really have a favorite right now," he said. "I'm looking for first a good football career. I want to win games. Academics is pretty big for me and I'm looking at going into probably engineering or business."
A two-way prospect, Knighton is getting looks on both sides of the ball, but noted that he has no preference.
Last year, as a junior, Knighton earned all-league honors.
"Most teams have told me they like me on either side of the ball," he said. "I think the thing that stands out is that I'm a nasty player. I have a bit of a mean streak and schools like that a lot."
