Knight talks official visits

The state of Michigan is loaded with prep football talent this year and Detroit Renaissance standout Derek Knight is one of the top defensive back prospects in the state.
The 6-foot-0 and 192-pound Knight played linebacker during his junior season and made 148 tackles including nine sacks. He also intercepted two passes. Knight is projected as a strong safety in college.

"I would say I have roughly 18 to 20 offers," Knight said. "About half of them are in writing. Some are in the process of being sent."
While Knight said he does not have any favorites, he did list a number of schools he is considering.
"Arizona State, Georgia Tech, UCLA, a lot of schools in the Big Ten like Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, and Indiana, all of them have offered. Penn State, Boston College, and Florida State are some others I like.
"I visited Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, and Toledo."
Knight plans to take at least some of his official visits.
"For my official visits I plan on taking one to Georgia Tech," he said. "I might go to Florida State. UCLA and Arizona State are big possibilities. Oregon offered. I'd like to take one out there."
