Kirkendoll shaves his list to seven

Four star wide receiver James Kirkendoll has decided he should narrow down his list to seven schools before starting to think about visits and a probable post-season decision.
The Round Rock, Texas speedster says that those schools that remain on his list include Florida, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, and Texas Tech in no particular order. Kirkendoll says that it's not just one thing that stands out to him except for probably solid relationships with the coaching staffs.

"They're all real up front about what they have to offer me," Kirkendoll said about his cut-down list. "Those are all pretty even right now."
Though the 5-foot-10, 178-pounder hasn't set up any official visits, he'll be doing that over the next few days. Three of the five slots may already have selected teams for those trips.
"I haven't set anything up, but I know I'm definitely going to Florida, Nebraska, and probably Miami," Kirkendoll said. "Those are tradition rich schools where I have the chance to come in and compete. I know that of all those schools, they could each make the national title race."
Kirkendoll says that he had a top three at one point, but that is no longer the case. Things have "changed with each program" over the last couple of weeks and he's ironing out a new top group of leaders.
"I'm probably going to wait things out for a while and take some trips here before I commit," Kirkendoll said. "I'll probably just decide after the season is over."
Kirkendoll is rated as the No. 19 wide receiver prospect in the nation.
