Kirk hits the road

The title of top-ranked receiver in the West comes with options. In Christian Kirk's case, it comes with 25 of them. And that's just to this point. More scholarship offers will likely trickle in during the coming months.
Kirk has a plan, though. He'll sift through them. He'll take a mound of unofficial visits and narrow his list. He hopes to narrow his options down to 10 well before the start of his senior season. The weeding out process starts now.

"I'm leaving tomorrow at noon to go to USC and UCLA," Kirk said. "I'll be at USC Friday and Saturday. Then I'll be at UCLA the second half of the day on Saturday.
Kirk's other scheduled visits include trips to Ohio State (Feb. 27) and Oregon (Mar. 8). That won't be the end of his offseason travel, though. Instead, that's just the first round. There's another entire region to see.
"I'm going to check out these schools and hope to come back with a lot of info," Kirk said. "I definitely want to see some SEC schools before I narrow down my list. I'm just trying to get some out of the way, so I can really focus on a couple."
A four-star prospect, Kirk is the No. 3 wide receiver in America and the No. 21 overall player in the 2015 class. As a junior at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro High School, he caught 142 passes for 2756 and scored 57 total touchdowns. He also rushed for 825 yards and carried 10.71 per-carry average.
Kirk plans to graduate high school a semester early in an effort to join the program. of his choice in time for 2015 spring workouts.
