Last week Dondi Kirby told Rivals.com that he is hoping to visit Georgia and Miami later in the recruiting process.
Now it's safe to say there's another southern school sitting in a great position.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway safety picked up an offer from Florida this weekend, and that's sure to have an impact on things moving forward.

"Yeah," Kirby said, confirming reports that they Gators had offered. "My coach called me earlier today and told me."
When asked what he thought about the SEC school, as you might expect, he was very positive. He didn't have much to say but it's clear that Florida is in a good position.
"Great, great school," Kirby said in reference to Florida. "I'm going down there July 23."
Kirby has not set up all of his other summer plans yet but it's probably safe to say he will be doing things before that trip to Gainesville.
