Kinzer Names Top Five

Three-star tight end John Kinzer now has more than 15 offers despite catching only 12 passes as a junior in run-oriented offense. So where is the talented senior-to-be leaning?
"I don't really have a leader," said the 6-foot-4, 255-pounder. "I guess you could say I know more about Virginia Tech and Virginia because they're close and I have two teammates who signed with Tech last year (Mike Imoh and Cary Wade)."

Despite his familiarity with the Hokies and Cavaliers, Kinzer isn't sold on staying home just yet.
"I'm going to go where I feel the most comfortable and where I can get the best education and experience," he said. "Staying in Virginia isn't really a factor."
Syracuse, Ohio State and Penn State are also in the mix.
"I've already seen Penn State and got a taste of what the Big Ten is like," he said. "I have to see Ohio State. I've heard so many good things about it. Syracuse is also a big-time football school. I'm going to set up my official visits during my season and take them after it's over. Right now I'll probably visit Tech, UVA, Syracuse, Penn State and Ohio State."
As a junior, Kinzer made 12 catches for 112 yards and two scores. On defense, he had more than 10 sacks. Most schools are recruiting him as a tight end but he said he has no real preference.
