King takes his first official

Oak Ridge (N.C.) Oak Ridge Military Academy defensive tackle Brandon King was planning on an official this past weekend to Wisconsin. However, the trip didn't work out for the 6-foot-5, 300-pounder, but he did take a visit elsewhere a week ago.
"I didn't go to Wisconsin," he said. "I was planning to, but I haven't talked to the coaches in a little while.

"I did just go to Memphis last week. It was great. That was an official and it was nice."
King confirmed plans to head out on another official soon.
"I haven't set any other visits up, but I know I'm going to Mississippi State. I have no idea when."
With a handful of offers, does King like anybody?
"Oh yeah, Mississippi State," he stated. "It's a great school. They have nice facilities and I like all the coaches there. That is somewhere I want to play at, the coaches really want me to come there."
Wherever King ends up he plans to enroll in January.
Meanwhile, on the field the lineman played both ways for Oak Ridge prep.
"I was playing offensive tackle and defense," he said. "I did pretty well this year, I improved at using my hands and my quickness."
