King hearing from Sun Devils

One of the biggest surprises at the IMG 7on7 West Regional last weekend was Geordan King and he's starting to hear from at least one Pac-12 school.
The Phelan (Calif.) Serra athlete - who shined especially at defensive back at the IMG Tournament - has been having some preliminary talks with Arizona State assistant coach DelVaughn Alexander and he's hoping to visit Tempe this summer.

"I've been hearing mostly from Arizona State," King said. "I had a phone call from coach Alexander and he was showing some interest.
"He was just telling me to keep playing as hard as I can and to keep staying in the weight room. He wanted to meet me. He was telling me he was going to get back to me about how soon we could meet up."
Working out at Arizona State this summer is important to King, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect who is also a running back. In eight games this past season, the Serrano standout rushed for 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns.
"(Alexander) told me to come to their summer camp in June," King said. "I'm going to try to get out there."
USC is showing some early interest and King said San Diego State is sending a bunch of recruiting mail. Northern Arizona is also involved.
"I've been getting a lot of letters but the only coach I talked on the phone with was from ASU," King said.
