Kinder misses last official visit

Albion (N.Y.) wide receiver / all-purpose back Derek Kinder was scheduled to take his final visit this weekend, but decided not to take the trip. He had visited Syracuse in the past, however, and said missing the trip will not have an affect on his final decision.
“I didn’t get to go,” he explained. “It was the weather. I went on a couple of visits unofficially and got to see everything I really needed to see, so it is not really a big deal.”

Derek has already visited Boston College, Maryland, and Pittsburgh and lists these three schools, along with Syracuse, as his favorites. He still plans to decide on one of these four schools by Christmas.
Kinder is rated the No. 9 player in New York by Rivals.com, and stands 6-foot-2, weighs 197 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds. He rushed the ball 195 times as a senior for 1705 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also added 17 receptions for 289 yards.
Qualifying academically should not be a problem. Although unsure of his GPA, Kinder has already scored a 1,060 on the SAT.
