Kicker is record breaker

Placekicker Jordan Mannisto (6-0, 170, 4.7) from Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake is having an outstanding senior season. He has kicked three field goals of 50 yards or more and he's now the all-time leader of field goals for Ventura County.
On the season, Mannisto has hit on nine field goals out of 12 attempts including hitting from 50, 51, and 52-yard. He been almost perfect kicking PAT's, his only miss was barely blocked.

On the recruiting front, Oregon State, Washington State, San Diego State and Nevada are showing the most interest.
USC has been talked to by one of Mannisto's coaches who has a connection there, and the word is USC is showing some interest.
Mannisto took an unofficial visit to San Diego State a couple of weeks ago.
"I liked San Diego State's campus a lot," Mannisto said. "It's one of the best schools, I have seen.
"I'm hoping Oregon State comes through," Mannisto said. "I like Oregon State a lot and feel they are my best opportunity to kick in the Pac 10.
"I also like San Diego State and Nevada," Mannisto said. "I am really open to all schools.
Mannisto also does the punting for Westlake and is averaging around 43 yards per punt.
In an earlier article with Westlake head coach Jim Benkert, he had the following to say about his talented placekicker.
"Jordan has a powerful leg. There is a new rule in college where they will be kicking off from the 30 yard line and Jordan's leg strength is of great interest to D-I schools.
"Last season, Jordan's was 82 percent putting the ball into the end zone. That is a big weapon.
"I think he projects as a place-kicker, but some schools aren't ruling out punting," Benkert said. "Some schools may end up liking him as a dual guy who could handle both chores.
"The thing about Jordan is he's an athlete," Benkert said. "He's also an all-league athlete in soccer and baseball."
Mannisto earned first-team all-CIF, first-team all-county and first-team all-league for his junior season performance.
Mannisto works on his kicking with one of the best kicking gurus in the West in former UCLA All-American placekicker Chris Sailer. He also works out with former Los Angeles Rams kicker, Mike Langsford.
Mannisto and his Westlake teammates will open playoff play this weekend against Camarillo, Calif.
