Keystone State RB commits to Ohio

After holding a handful of offers from the MAC and other schools, Erie (Pa.) Strong Vincent running back Donte Harden has settled on a decision. The 5-foot-10, 182-pounder has committed to Ohio.
"He actually committed to them earlier this month," Strong Vincent head coach Chris Spooner said. "I think it was the first week of January.

"The thing he told me about Ohio was that he really liked the school itself. He was impressed with the coaching staff and liked how they are a very run-oriented team. They have recruited him to play tailback there and he'll have a chance to play right away since they are top heavy in terms of upperclassmen."
Spooner discussed what he thinks the Bearcats are getting.
"I know a lot of other MAC schools were disappointed he committed," he said. "He's a kid that is busting his butt off already to prepare to play next year.
"I think they are getting a potential stud running back. He's a big-time back that was overshadowed by Maurice Williams. He's the type of player that will run through a brick wall and make them better."
