Keystone OL has UConn, Akron offers

McKeesport, Pa. offensive guard Lawrence Green recently posted impressive numbers at the State College Nike Camp in Pennsylvania. His combination of size and speed have attracted the interest of several big-name schools. Who makes the list for his services?
“Maryland, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and West Virginia are my top five," said the 6-foot-2, 305-pounder. "But not in any order.”

What does he like about the schools?
“Maryland has a really nice campus. Connecticut I have talked to a lot, although I haven’t been up there yet. Syracuse I don’t know too much about, but have a lot of interest in. I went to the West Virginia camp, and it was nice up there. Pitt is really nice and I live near the campus, so I know a lot about them.”
Green has had a very busy summer so far. He has attended the Metro and AK recruiting camps while also going to programs at Pitt, West Virginia and Penn State (Nike camp). In addition, he took an unofficial visit to Maryland earlier this summer, and will go to Akron on July 5. Has he determined the destinations of his official visits?
“My first will definitely be to Connecticut. As for the other four, I haven’t decided. I probably won’t take an official to Pitt, since I live so close.”
Green has offers from Akron and UConn and said that the other schools have not yet set a timetable for when he will receive offers from them. What will be the biggest factors in his decision?
“A good environment and a place where I can play early. I also am looking for a school that has a good business program.”
