Keystone end lands his first offer

Souderton (Pa.) Souderton Area defensive end Cody Muller received his first offer in the past week. The 6-foot-3, 227-pounder landed the scholarship from a Division I program and is garnering his share of interest from other colleges as well.
"I got an offer from Akron about five days ago," he said. "It's my first offer. It was a relief. I put a lot of hard work in and went to a lot of camps. Finally, I can get this big weight off my shoulders and go into my senior year not worrying about trying to get offers.

"I know Akron plays in the MAC. They are a very good football team and building a brand new stadium. I've heard it's a beautiful place."
Muller confirmed he is not considering a decision at this time.
"Lots of other schools are interested, almost the whole Big East, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Syracuse and Rutgers along with New Hampshire and Richmond," he said. "Most of them have said they'll follow me after the first three games of my senior season and go from there."
The Keystone State prospect maintains he has no favorites.
"Everyone has their strong points, I'm looking at everyone," he said. "I want to go somewhere with a family type atmosphere. I don't have to be winning, but I want a program working towards winning. I want the coaches to be committed to it. I want a school that really wants me."
Muller posted 62 tackles and 15 sacks along with 12 receptions for 206-yards and one touchdown. Muller earned first team all-league, all-Southeastern PA and honorable mention all-state honors as a junior.
