Keystone DE earns first offer

Defensive end Josh Neubert recently took in junior day visits at Virginia, Connecticut and Northwestern and landed his first scholarship offer of the recruiting season from one of the schools. Which one?
The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder out of Lansdale (Pa.) North Penn got his first offer from Northwestern.

"Northwestern is a great school and a great campus," he said. "The Big Ten is a big-time football conference and academically they are very strong in the country."
As for his visits to the school, he enjoyed all three.
"All three visits were awesome," he said. "Just the fact that all of them are looking to improve and become even more winning programs is big."
This past season Neubert helped North Penn to a 10-3 record as he posted 10 sacks and was named second team all-league.
Neubert has also been getting interest from Boston College, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Ohio State and Michigan.
"I'm staying open because there is a lot to learn about each school," he said. "It's good to have so many good schools recruiting me."
This spring Neubert plans on attending the Penn State Nike Combine and is considering attending the Blue Chip Combine at Rutgers.
