Kessler makes mid-major pick

Some times good things don't come to those who wait. Three-star tight end Justin Kessler of Alvarado, Texas, had Big 12 scholarship offers from some major programs, but he decided to wait things out and see if Urban Meyer would show him any interest at Florida. That interest never came and the Big 12 interest waned. That's led him to make a commitment somewhere else.
"He committed to Tulane this weekend," Kessler's mother said. "I didn't get a chance to talk to him too much since his cell phone was dying. But he committed this weekend while he was there."
Kessler, the nation's No. 38 tight end, visited Baylor, Houston, Missouri and Utah, before committing to Tulane this weekend. He is 6-foot-4 and 227 pounds.
