Louisville Male's
Michael Bush, entering his first full year as the starting quarterback,
completed 13 of 22 passes for 162 yards Saturday in leading the Bulldogs to a
42-20 win over Hopkinsville in the Integra Bank Bowl.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Bush, a member of The Rivals 100
team and one of the top-ranked athletes
in the nation, also ran for a touchdown and returned a kickoff 80 yards for
another score.
Louisville, Ohio State and Tennessee are considered to be the leaders for Bush,
who wants to play both football and basketball on the college level. Oklahoma,
Penn State, Kentucky, Indiana and Wake Forest are also making a push for his
services.
As a junior on the gridiron, he received all-state votes at wide receiver,
running back and quarterback after catching 64 passes for 1,090 yards and 17
touchdowns, rushing for 401 yards and 10 touchdowns and passing for 534 yards
and three more scores.
On the court, he averaged 19 points and eight rebounds for the Bulldogs.
