Jacob Tamme has scheduled his
first three official visits.
"I'll be going to Louisville on Jan. 10 and leaving from
there to go to Northwestern on Jan. 12," said Tamme, a member of the Rivals.com
Kentucky Top 15
team. "I'll be at Indiana on Jan. 17."
Tamme (6-5, 205, 4.55) said he's undecided on the last
two visits.
"I'm hoping to get a call from Kentucky soon," he said.
"(UK Athletics Director) Mitch Barnhart told me to hold one of my official
visits for them until he got a new coach hired (Rich Brooks). Now that he's done
that and they're getting the staff together, I'm really looking forward to
talking with them and seeing if they're interested.
"The other visit will probably be West Virginia."
He also noted he was eager to meet the new head coach at
Louisville, former Auburn offensive coordinator Bob Petrino. "He seems like a
real good coach from everything I've heard about him."
Tamme was named the MVP of the Class 3A state
championship game as he led Boyle County to a 21-0 win over Rockcastle County.
It marked the Rebels' fourth consecutive state title, two in 2A and two in 3A.
Tamme had 49 catches for 787 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior. He also had 55
tackles and nine interceptions on the defensive side of the ball. He finished
his outstanding prep career with school records of 32 touchdown catches and 23
interceptions.
