Kentucky WR claims six scholies

Offers have picked up for Lexington (Kent.) Kentucky wide receiver Aaron Boyd over the past couple months. Currently the 6-foot-4, 195-pounder claims six scholarships.
"I've got offers from Kentucky, Louisville, Virginia, NC State, Cincinnati and Tennessee," he said. "I just went to Tennessee on an unofficial visit recently and it was real nice.

"They showed me around the practice facilities and I met every one of the coaches including coach Roper and Fulmer. I got some time to talk with the coaches and basically what I saw was that they are a family and if I come there, they'll take care of me."
Later this month, Boyd plans to take an unofficial visit to Ohio State on March 24th.
With already a half dozen offers in hand, do any of the scholarships stand out?
"You know, Kentucky is a fit for me because my brother played there and I've been around their facilities my whole life," he said. "He had his ups and downs there and I don't think it was a positive or negative in effecting my decision. If I go there it would be my decision.
"Basically, I'm looking for a nice program that'll fit me and get me where I want to go, the NFL. That's my main goal. I also want somebody to treat me like family."
Boyd plans to head to camps at Tennessee, Michigan, Michigan State and Kentucky this summer.
Last season the Lexington wideout earned all-city honors after registering 39 catches for 730 yards and five touchdowns. He added 20 tackles and two interceptions on defense.
