Kentucky star close to decision

Paducah (Ky.) Tilghman cornerback Lamar Alston is one of the top players in the Bluegrass State for the class of 2005. He has an impressive list of offers, but has narrowed his choices to three and could be close to committing.
“I am pretty much down to Kentucky, Louisville and Florida,” Alston said. “I have written offers from a bunch of schools, but Florida is not one of them. They have been recruiting me really hard, but I don’t have anything in writing.”

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Alston runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. He has offers from Kentucky, Louisville, Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi State and Wake Forest.
“I really want to visit Florida soon,” Alston said. “I am really kind of ready to get this decision out of the way as soon as I can, but I want to check out Florida before I do. I have seen Kentucky and Louisville, but I still want to see Florida.”
Alston took the ACT last weekend, but obviously does not know how he fared, though he feels he did well.
