Kentucky QB has top five for summer

Paducah (Ky.) Tilghman quarterback Hunter Cantwell has formed a top five list as he prepares for a busy summer camp schedule.
“I plan on going to camp at Indiana, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Illinois and Alabama,” he said. “Those are my top five schools right now.

“Right now, I’d say Indiana is showing the most interest. I’ve been getting hand-written letters from them once a week and other letters about every day. One of their coaches, Mo Moriarty, came to Tilghman to see me. I liked him a lot. He used to be a high school coach for Rex Grossman.
“Kentucky is probably tied for first with Indiana. I’m definitely high on them. I like the school. The campus is really nice. They have some great facilities. I like the coaching staff, too. Coach Brooks was in Atlanta when I lived down there. When I was up at Kentucky for a visit, I found out that he lived about five minutes away from where we did. We had fun talking about that. He’s a real nice guy.”
Are there any other schools who may have a shot to crack his top five?
“Depending on who offers, there could be some,” he said. “Ole Miss could be there. I went to their spring game. They’ve got a great campus.”
Cantwell (6-5, 210, 4.65) will quarterback one of the Bluegrass State’s top-ranked teams in 2003. As a junior, he threw for 2,356 yards and 22 touchdowns in leading the Blue Tornado to a 10-3 record and the third round of the Class 3A playoffs. He’s thrown for 5,002 yards and 52 touchdowns in his career.
On Saturday, Cantwell and his Tilghman teammates will participate in Vanderbilt's 7-on-7 passing camp.
