As he prepares to play in the Class 4A Georgia State Championship this weekend, class of 2015 Tucker (Ga.) defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter isn't too focused on recruiting. However, it doesn't mean that schools aren't taking a look at him.

Ledbetter picked up an offer from Kentucky over the weekend. The Wildcats join a list that already includes Vanderbilt and Mississippi.
"Their team is alright, but I know they've been recruiting heavy for the 2015 class," the 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect said. "The coaching staff seems pretty good, plus it's the SEC, which is a bonus. I still want to do some research and learn more about them."
Like most schools that are just finding out about the hulking Ledbetter, Kentucky is new the party.
"Friday was the first day that they came by my school," Ledbetter said. "I know they watched my film and they liked what they saw, so I got the offer."
It's been a busy week of visitors for Ledbetter, who said coaches from Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia were at his game on Friday, and Ledbetter is really hoping to earn an offer from the Bulldogs.
"I think after our game at the dome they should offer," he said of Georgia. "They're one of my top five favorites right now."
As of now Ledbetter doesn't have offers from any of his top five of Georgia, Florida State, Alabama, Stanford or Ohio State, but he's hoping that changes in the offseason.
"None of them have offered yet, but I know they're interested," he said. "I've got a lot of work to put in, but I'm looking forward to it."
