Kentucky lands in-state receiver

Kentucky has received another in-state commitment. This time the pledge comes from a prospect right in the backyard of hated rival Louisville.
Louisville Ballard receiver Maurice Marchman confirmed that he has pledged to Kentucky, picking the Wildcats over Boston College, Louisville, Cincinnati and Ohio. Marchman confirmed his pledge earlier today, but his coach was also excited about the news.

“Kentucky got itself a heck of a ball player,” Ballard coach Mark Catlett said. “He’s got all of the tools to be a really special player. He is continuing to grow and get better as a player and a receiver.”
As a junior he had 583 yards rushing and caught 71 passes for 1,025 yards and nine touchdowns. He finished as the state's fifth-leading receiver. After five games this season Marchman ranks second in the state with 24 receptions for 634 yards and six scores.
