After Benny Snell had a standout career in Kentucky that led to him being selected in the 2019 NFL Draft, Kentucky has earned itself a reputation for a school that can develop and produce running backs. As the 'Cats look to reload their backfield for the future, they have cast a wide net in the Class of 2020. One of the prospects on the school's radar is Florida back Javian Tomlinson, who picked up an offer from Kentucky during the spring evaluation period. Rivals.com recently caught up with Tomlinson to talk about Kentucky and a potential visit to Lexington.
IN HIS WORDS
"I picked up an offer from Kentucky during the spring. They came by the school to see me, their offensive coordinator was there, and afterwards my coach let me know I had the offer. I've been texting with him and they really want to get me up there for a visit and hopefully I can do that soon."
Message from coaches: "They like my size and speed and they just had a running back drafted so they were telling me about that. I think they probably have a need on their roster after this season so they are telling me there's a chance to come in and compete for playing time."
Knowledge of the program: "It's an SEC team and they had a great season last year. I like the way they run their offense and they want they feature their backs."
