Two of the Bluegrass State's top players got their senior seasons off to a great
start this past weekend.

Lexington Catholic quarterback
Jacob
Doss (pictured at right) completed 15 of 16 passes for 214 yards and
three touchdowns in the Knights' 28-7 victory over Nelson County.
Doss connected five times with wide receiver
John
Logan, who finished with 115 yards and a touchdown.
The 6-foot, 170-pound Logan is one of the nation's top
prospects at his position, having reeled in more than 25 scholarship offers
prior to his senior season. Some of the schools at the top of his list include
Kentucky (where his uncle, Marc Logan, was a standout prior to his NFL career),
Michigan, Nebraska and South Carolina. He's also being recruited heavily by
Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Louisville and Wake Forest.
As a junior, Logan (4.35 forty) recorded 665 yards rushing, 501 yards receiving
and 18 total touchdowns in the Knights' high-octane offense.
Doss has yet to receive his first official scholarship offer, but is hearing
regularly from Kentucky, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Illinois, Iowa, Purdue
and Middle Tennessee.
As a junior, the 6-foot-2, 202-pound Doss passed for 2,685 yards and 38
touchdowns.
