Kent visit impresses LB

Harrison City (Pa.) Penn Trafford two-star linebacker Paul Stefanik was one of a big group of visitors this weekend at Kent. Coming into the visit, the 6-foot-1, 217-pounder was toying with committing to the Golden Flashes, but at this point he's still going to take his time.
"I like it a lot," Stefanik said.

"I'm just not sure yet. The campus was real nice. It wasn't a hustle, bustle place. It was not too quiet and it wasn't not too loud. It was a place that gave you a real home feel."
Stefanik got to spent some time one-on-one time with Kent coach Doug Martin.
"I got to spend an hour with him on the campus tour," Stefanik said. "That personal attention made me feel good. He was a real genuine guy. I got to meet his family, too. He was talking a lot about their future and how they're not the old Kent State. That old stuff where they lost all the time is out of their heads."
Stefanik is now slated to visit Marshall on Dec. 15 after taking the ACT next weekend. Maryland also has recently contacted him about taking a visit some time soon.
"They haven't offered quite yet," Stefanik, who does have offers from Temple, Marshall, Kent and Akron, said. "I'm going to see what happens with them and see if they're going to offer."
