Kendrick has three to watch

Columbus (Ga.) Kendrick has a handful of 2007 defensive recruits that are starting to receive interest from colleges including linebacker Suave Nettles and defensive backs Quinton Wells and Clarence Brown. All three prospects are borderline Division I prospects who could see their stock rise as the season goes on.
The 6-foot-0, 210-pound Nettles is a star linebacker for Kendrick.

"Pound for pound he is the strongest man on our team," said Kendrick head coach Ahmand Tinker. "He is a tough, hardnosed linebacker that has great instincts for finding the football. He has darn good speed at the position too."
Nettles won the region in weight lifting.
Defensive back Quinton Wells is a 6-foot-2, 170-pounder.
"He has the capability to be a tremendous cover corner," he said. "Quinton is a real smart player that is apt to coming up in the running game and loves to make physical contact. He has tremendous athleticism and great jumping and running ability. He is also a smart guy with a 23 on the ACT already."
Last season Wells registered 49 tackles, one interception and four deflections.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pound cornerback Clarence Brown is another impressive prospect.
"Clarence is a student of the game and a very smart football player," Tinker said. "He is constantly thinking and using great technique. He is more of a true cover corner, but not the greatest player in run support. Clarence is long and has unlimited range as far as covering in the secondary. He could also be a very talented wide receiver in college."
Brown hauled in 24 receptions for 364 yards and three touchdowns last season. He added 47 tackles, one interception and six deflections on defense.
All three players have been receiving mail from schools including Tulane, Middle Tennessee, UCF, Troy, Memphis, Southern Miss and others.
This spring the three are considering attending the Nike Camp at Georgia.
