Kendall reviews Oklahoma decision

Austin Kendall has seen some twists and turns in his recruitment which included an early pledge to Tennessee but now the four-star quarterback has committed to Oklahoma and is not looking back.
Auburn, Kentucky and Oklahoma were the three finalists for the Waxhaw (N.C.) Cuthbertson prospect and he said the Sooners had too much to turn down.

"It was a family environment," Kendall said. "It was a great coaching staff. They're a winning program and there's nothing you can't like about Oklahoma.
"The last three schools Auburn, Kentucky and obviously Oklahoma, they play a spread offense and that's what my high school does so it really fits me. I tried to find an offense that fits me."
Kendall, who participated in the Steve Clarkson Dream Maker QB Retreat last weekend in San Diego, said the Oklahoma offense fits him well - and a big plus is that it's filled with top-flight receivers.
The four-star likes the offense, likes the supporting cast and so Oklahoma won out.
"They have good skill guys over there," Kendall said. "Every quarterback wants that and I found it over at Oklahoma.
"Like I said, it's a family environment. They brought me in like anybody else. They recruited me hard and they were going to do anything to get me in and that's what they did. They made me feel like it was home."
Kentucky was a major player in his recruitment and one reason is because his brother is a walk-on for the Wildcats. But Kendall said he had to find the best opportunity for himself and he felt that was in Norman.
"It was kind of hard," Kendall said.
"It really wasn't the biggest decision of me trying to play with my brother. I really wanted to find a school that fit me to the best of my ability, where I could be there for four years and have a good time and really just enjoy myself. I thought that was better at Oklahoma."
In his junior season, Kendall completed 310 of 513 passes for 4,461 yards and 49 touchdowns.
