Kemp stays patient with process

There was definitely a strong showing from the DeSoto, Texas football team at the NIKE Training Camp in College Station, Texas a few weekends ago. Wide receiver Donavon Kemp was one of those on hand.
The 6-foot-1, 169-pound Kemp, who describes himself as a "hard worker," wanted to come out and show his ability along with the rest of his teammates. The camp experience definitely may have helped his stock rise.

"We just, as a team, wanted to be out there together and perform as well as we could," Kemps aid. "I think the day was really good."
Kemp, who has been hearing from a slew of colleges, has yet to land his first scholarship offer. However, he feels that with the NIKE Camp, things may be changing.
"I'm just being patient right now," he said. "I don't want to rush anything with any of the schools. You never know what might come next."
Kemp says that Notre Dame, Michigan, and Wisconsin are three schools that have been schools to show interest.
"I get a lot of mail from those schools," he said. "I'm just not sure who may be first to offer."
