Kelly working on new list

Caleb Kelly had his top list of schools, he was maybe even ready to trim it further, but then more major offers came his way and the five-star linebacker is back to square one.
"Right now I'll probably slow down a little bit, take a step back, re-evaluate everybody and then make another top 10, top five or something like that," Kelly said. "I have to talk to my mom and my coaches and then just go from there."

The five-star linebacker and top-rated prospect in California this recruiting cycle is particularly taking a closer look at Ohio State since the Buckeyes offered weeks ago.
The Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West recruit has only heard good things about Ohio State and is seriously considering a trip there.
"Every player that I've talked to that visited there said they like it a lot and there's a reason why they're the national champs," Kelly said.
"The coaches and the facilities over there it's a special place and there is a lot of tradition. All the players I talked to said it's really cool out there and it makes sense they're the natty champs."
Kelly, rated No. 12 overall in the 2016 class by Rivals.com, recently visited Michigan and things went really well. The five-star wants to see how this season goes but he's excited about the Wolverines.
"We'll see how this season goes with the new coaches and everything," Kelly said. "Those coaches practice as long as they can, they do meetings as long as they can and they're just NFL coaches. They just get stuff done and you can tell they'll have a good season this year.
"I like it out there. The players out there are really cool and they're a lot like Fresno players or people from California too even though they're from Detroit or Michigan locally."
Georgia and Missouri are two programs Kelly will keep an eye on moving forward and he's considering adding them to his top list.
There's no question UCLA has a strong shot at the Clovis West standout and many Bruins commitments (including his teammate Darian Owens) are making it clear they want Kelly in this recruiting class.
"They have players recruiting me, coaches recruiting me especially with Darian there and Lokeni is always on me, Breland is on me," Kelly said. "That's cool. I know they want me badly. They want to win a national championship badly and those players over there recruit me.
"Coach (Scott) White is always hitting me on Twitter and Lokeni is always texting me, sending me random stuff. It's pretty funny. It's cool."
