Kelly names early favorite

One of the top linebackers at the Pylon Sports 7on7 in Las Vegas last weekend was Caleb Kelly and that is especially impressive since he's a 2016 prospect.
The Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West linebacker said USC, Oklahoma and Florida State are recruiting him early on and the Sooners are the early favorite.

"Tony Perry (7on7 coach) takes care of all my stuff so he tells me when colleges call," Kelly said. "Right now I've been getting a little bit but not super much right now.
"I've heard Oklahoma and SC are interested and I've also gotten a letter from FSU.
"Everybody would be big-time for me because I just want to go to school but right now I guess my No. 1 would be Oklahoma. I haven't gotten an offer but I just like that school."
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound standout said he likes Oklahoma for plenty of reasons but mainly because so many Fresno players go to Norman.
Michiah Quick just signed with the Sooners and Hatari Byrd is already on campus plus the Oklahoma coaching staff recruits California hard so that definitely sticks out to Kelly, who could be one of the next big recruits to come out of Central California.
Any offer at this point would be important for Kelly since no programs have offered yet but the Fresno Clovis West standout said he's hopeful the Sooners will get more involved soon.
"A lot of Fresno guys go there and a lot of the coaches there Perry is really close with them so he knows they would take care of me," Kelly said.
"You have some of your friends there so you have a little bit of home there with you so that would be good."
