Kelly looking at some big visits

Caleb Kelly has taken a summer respite from recruiting but there's no question it should heat back up soon with so many programs pursuing him.
The 2016 five-star linebacker from Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West has no detailed unofficial visit plans this fall but he's hopeful to see a few games.

The USC-UCLA matchup is one. Kelly, rated as the second-best outside linebacker in the class by Rivals.com, said it's possible he could be headed to a major Big 12 school as well.
"I haven't called anybody in a really long time," Kelly said. "They're not allowed to call me. It's a quiet time for me and I'm just focused on my high school right now.
"I hope I can go to the USC-UCLA game and I go to Fresno State games because it's right down the street. If teams come over there I'll get to see some coaches and stuff.
"My coach told me I might be able to go out to the Oklahoma-Tennessee game. I will probably be going out to some games and get a chance to do that. A lot of it will depend on how I feel after Friday nights."
Rated as the No. 12 player in the 2016 class, Kelly has already been offered by Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Fresno State, Miami, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon State, UCLA, USC, Washington and Washington State.
He has not named any frontrunners yet and said that isn't changing at this point in his recruitment.
"I'm still really wide open," Kelly said.
The five-star does not seem easily influenced, either. Recently, Clovis West teammate Darian Owens, a 2016 four-star athlete, said USC is his early favorite. Kelly said that's Owens' choice and that's not going to be a factor in his decision-making process.
"That's one of my best friends and all but that's him and that's his school," Kelly said.
