Kelly claims a top six

Three-star safety Darwyn Kelly claims a top six. The Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson plans to visit all of the options in the coming month. He discussed it more inside.
"I've got a top six of Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Illinois, Penn State and Georgia Tech," he said. "I picked those schools because they are showing me the most interest right now. Those are the schools I could see myself having a successful career education wise and sports wise."
Do any of the schools stick out over the rest?

"I'd say Penn State and North Carolina stick out the most," he said. "North Carolina was the first school to offer me. I have a great relationship with the defensive coordinator and the defensive back coach. I've heard great things about him.
"As for Penn State, I have a great relationship with Larry Johnson and John Butler. They came to see me workout on May 1st."
The real question is, is this the final six?
"These are basically the final schools, but if someone else comes in and sparks my interest. I would not have a problem adding them."
Regarding the list, Kelly plans to visits all of the programs before summer is out.
"I'm going to Illinois this weekend, North Carolina on Tuesday and Penn State next Friday," he said. "I'm planning to go to Dawg Night at Georgia on July 13th and while I'm down there I'm going to see Georgia Tech. Randy Edsall from Maryland wants me to come for a visit. They just want to sit down and talk to me before they offer. I should be going there one time too."
With visits potentially to all the finalists, Kelly noted he might be close to a decision.
"I plan on committing before the season. I want to decide this summer."
Of course, visits are coming first and since these could be critical. He went in-depth on what he's looking for.
"What I'm looking for is a family environment that'll help me grow to be the best player and man I can be for life after football," he said. "I want to go somewhere I can get a quality education."
