Kelley names top five

Ryan Kelley recently visited a Pac-12 school and returned home with enough information to release a list of preferred contenders.
Arizona State, California, Michigan State, Oregon and UCLA make up the top five for the four-star quarterback from Chandler (Ariz.) Basha as he nears a decision. Kelley visited the Ducks earlier this month and said he planned to announce a commitment at the end of his season or shortly thereafter.

IN HIS WORDS: "Oregon wowed me while I was on the visit, and I really enjoy talking to all their coaches on staff," Kelley told Rivals.com. "I really liked seeing how happy the players were there; they really seemed like they enjoyed themselves.
"With UCLA, I really like all their coaches. I talk to at least one of them every single day. They have a great football program and great academics at their school.
"At ASU, I also really like every one of their coaches on their staff. I really enjoyed myself when I went on a visit to their school and I felt very comfortable while I was there.
"Michigan State has a great tradition and, to me, they're on an uprise and continue to impress many. I talk to coach (Brad) Salem a lot and I really like what they're doing out at there.
"Cal Berkeley is in the five because I also feel like they're getting better and better. I love what the coaches are doing out there making their program better, and they also have great academics and a beautiful campus."
WHAT'S NEXT?: The Rivals250 prospect, one of the top available quarterbacks in the 2017 class, intends to visit the Bruins for a game in November. Kelley sat out last week's game as he recovered from an elbow injury but said he should be ready to play in the final two games.
