Kelemete still working hard
PALO ALTO, Calif. – Seattle Evergreen lineman Senio Kelemete was one of the top players at the recent NIKE Training Camp at Stanford University. While the 6-foot-5, 255-pounder is listed as an offensive tackle, he worked out with the defensive linemen at the camp.
There were moments where he dominated and then there were moments where he looked like he was best suited for offensive line. Regardless he's a good player and one that will be one of the best in the state for the class of 2008.

"I need to improve just my footwork and my pass protection," he said. "My run blocking is my biggest strength. I'm good at getting to the next level and sealing off the linebacker. I think I have good ability and potential as a defensive player, too."
Kelemete committed to Washington back in early March. It's a decision that he still is pleased with, but some schools haven't stopped recruiting him.
"The offensive line coach from Cal and Oregon State have still been talking to me," he said. "Oregon State just offered me. I just got the letter in the mail on Monday."
So does that offer alter his thoughts on the Huskies and his future?
"I don't know," he said. "I might just plan to go down there and check out the campus. Just to see what they're doing down there. But I'm still with Washington. I'd say about 95 percent with them."
In the end with many kids location is often a factor. With Washington right there in his backyard, he said he is familiar with everything with the Husky program, but he also points out that the others recruiting him aren't too far away either.
"Location will Kind of be a factor, yeah," he said. "I don't want to go anywhere too far. But Oregon State and Cal, they're both just right there."
Anyone else he might visit?
"Maybe Cal," Kelemete said. "I'd like to check out their campus. But I still talk to Washington once or twice a week. I talk to coach Chris Tormey. He's a great guy. I really enjoy talking to him.
