Richmond (Texas) George Ranch three-star 2015 defensive end Kingsley Keke saw his offer list double on Thursday when he found out the TCU joined Tulsa.
The 6-foot-4, 270-pound standout has been receiving mail from TCU, but he was surprised to learn the Horned Frogs were ready to offer him a scholarship. While it was surprising news, it was very welcome.
Over the years Keke has grown familiar with the TCU program and he was excited to hear receive the news of his offer.
"I know TCU is a top 25 school in the country," Keke said. "They have a good defense. The team is really great and they have a lot of athletes. It would be a good school to go to."
In addition to offers from TCU and Tulsa, Keke is receiving plenty of interest from college coaches near and far. Louisiana Tech has expressed a strong interest. Texas Tech is taking a look at him as an offensive lineman. Baylor's defensive line coach, Chris Achuff, has been in touch. On Tuesday, Texas A&M stopped by Keke's school, and Wake Forest is also taking a long look.
Keke also has a few junior days in mind with one coming up on Sunday.
"I'm going to a junior day this Sunday, the Baylor junior day. I'm going with Xavian Marks and Torin Marks. This will be my first junior day," Keke said. "I think I'll be going to the Texas Tech one soon after the Baylor one."
Keke is currently ranked a three-star prospect and No. 64 in the Rivals.com Texas Preseason Texas Top 100.
As a junior, Keke helped George Ranch to a 13-1 record and a 23-4A district championship. He earned first-team all-district honors for his efforts.
