Keith Robinson heads south

New SMU head coach June Jones is already making an impact picking up a commitment over the weekend from New Jersey. Jones landed the services of Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township athlete Keith Robinson.
"I actually committed yesterday on my visit," he said. "I decided to commit because I liked the coaching staff and it's a really good opportunity to play. There's a good turnaround there.

"I really liked the city facilities a lot. I loved the town and players. They were really cool and so was the coaching staff."
What did the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder like about June Jones?
"All of the coaches were really nice," he said. "I like Coach Jones' desire to win and how he recruits.
"He sees me as a cornerback because of my physicality and how I attack the ball."
One other reason Robinson decided on SMU was playing time.
"He doesn't really know the situation yet, but if I work hard enough there's a possibility I could be playing as a freshman."
Robinson added some final thoughts on his choice.
"I think it's a good fit, especially with the situation for them switching coaches."
