Keep an eye on this Alabama LB

Mobile (Ala.) John L. LeFlore linebacker Jarrett Dixon is one of the top prospects in southwest Alabama this year. He plays defensive end for his high school team, but has the perfect frame to make the move to linebacker in college.
“I do not have any offers right now, but I am getting mail from Arkansas, Virginia and Ole Miss,” Dixon said. “Right now my top schools would have to be Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Arkansas and Florida State.”

The 6-foot-0, 216-pound linebacker has solid speed with a 4.62 second 40-yard dash.
“I think my hard nosed style of play and my dedication to getting better as a player and winning are what make me a good player,” Dixon said. “I am looking for a school that has a nice campus atmosphere and can offer me a good education.”
After looking at the honors he racked up as a junior, it is easy to see why he considers himself a dedicated player. He won the hardest-hitter award, the most improved player award and the “gym rat” award, which signifies a player’s dedication to the weight room.
During his junior campaign he racked up 58 solo tackles, 16 assists, three sacks, four tackles for loss and recovered one fumble.
He is a solid student in the classroom who sports a 2.8 GPA and has already scored a qualifying 19 on the ACT.
