Kearse reschedules visit

Lakewood (Wash.) Lakes wide out Jermaine Kearse was expected to take his first official visit to Cal this past weekend. Kearse had to postpone the visit however after receiving some pretty big news.
Kearse, 6-0, 170 pounds has four of his five official visits scheduled right now and was all set to visit Cal this past weekend.

"I had to reschedule," Kearse said. "I found out I was selected for the Army All-American game and the ceremony was this past Sunday. It's a great honor and I was very excited to make it.
"I moved my visit to Cal to (Nov. 2). My first trip will be to Oregon (Oct. 26) and then I have Oregon State (Nov. 9) and Washington is (Dec. 7). My last visit will be to Arizona State but I still need to set that one.
"I play basketball so that's why I'm taking all my trips during the season. It's going to be crazy but worth it. We don't have any bye weekends or Thursday night games so I'll be getting up real early Saturday morning and flying out for my visits.
"I have no plans to make an early commitment anywhere and all these schools are equal right now. No matter what, even if I'm blown away on one of the trips, I'm not going to commit anywhere until I take my last visit. I really want to compare each of the schools with each other and I feel like that's the only way you can really make a good decision.
"For me, I'm just looking for comfort and where I'll be most comfortable. There are other factors too like coaching staff, the offense and depth chart but for me, it's just going to be a fit issue. Wherever I feel the most comfortable with the school, players and coaches, that's where I'll commit."
