Kearns continues to land major interest

Kyle Kearns has been hearing from a wide variety of college programs for months and is still waiting for his first offer.
The 2015 quarterback from Pleasanton (Calif.) Foothill said in the next few months - especially after signing day - offers could start coming in since so many teams are showing interest.

"It's about putting on some weight this off-season," Kearns said. "I'm hitting the weight room and getting started with the recruiting process again.
"Some coaches have already come through and talked to me. I worked out with Tennessee last Thursday so they've come out here and met with me. I know February after signing day I know a bunch of coaches are supposed to come out as well."
There are a lot of programs interested in Kearns, rated as the eighth-best pro-style quarterback in the 2015 class by Rivals.com.
The list is pretty impressive.
"I know Ole Miss, Michigan, UCLA, Cal, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Miami, Washington and Florida State are supposed to come out," Kearns said.
"I've been in contact with them so they're interested and want to check me out in person so we'll see what the deal is."
Patience will be key. Kearns said college coaches have told him to wait until after signing day and then things could get even busier.
"I know some of the coaches I've talked with are going to start offering in the February time period," Kearns said. "They're going to be solely focused on 2015. All the coaching staffs are trying to get their 2014 guys first."
