Kearns close to more offers

SMU remains the lone offer for four-star quarterback Kyle Kearns but many other programs have stopped by recently and more offers could definitely be on the way.
"The colleges have been coming by and I've been working out and getting ready for next season," Kearns said.

"Wake Forest is coming by, Colorado came by and Ole Miss came by (Friday), Cal has come by twice, Arizona State has come by, so a bunch of people have stopped by the school."
The Pleasanton (Calif.) Foothill standout who looked good at the RCS Northern California said he realizes some programs are waiting on other quarterbacks first so he'll remain patient, too, but there is a loose timetable on when he'd like to make his decision.
Kearns is rated as the ninth-best pro-style quarterback in the 2015 class by Rivals.com.
"With Cal I know they're waiting on Brady White but with Colorado and Wake Forest, especially those two schools, they basically said I'm right up there ready for an offer," Kearns said.
"Now it's just waiting. They're going to go out and film a bunch of other quarterbacks, gather as much data as they can and make the right decision. I'm just waiting and seeing with some of those colleges."
Kearns has already visited SMU and said he was blown away by coach June Jones and the offense. He's taken plenty of other unofficial visits as well and said he'd like to make his commitment prior to his senior season.
"I'd like to make it before the season," Kearns said. "I know Isaiah (Langley) and I have talked about heading into the season and getting the recruitment minimized and focusing on the high school season ahead of us.
"The recruiting process is so hectic as it is. It's tough to prioritize the high school team over all the colleges. It would be good to just settle down before the season and make our minds up."
