Katz will check out the NW

Santa Monica (Calif.) quarterback Ryan Katz had a great Spring throwing the ball and was one of the top signal callers we saw at the NIKE Camp at USC and the EA SPORTS Elite 11 workout at Cal. He' sitting on three offers right now and will check out a pair of NW schools this coming weekend.
Katz, 6-1, 195 pounds was arguably the top signal caller we saw at the SoCal NIKE Camp and he was equally as impressive in Berkeley. Katz can really spin it, is very sound mechanically and can make all the throws.

Several schools have said they want to see Katz perform on the field this coming season but Air Force, Utah and Wyoming have all stepped up with offers.
"Things are going well right now," Katz said. "This weekend, I'm going to be camping with Oregon State and Oregon so hopefully something positive comes out of the camps like one of them offering.
"I'll be at Oregon State from June 23-25 and then will attend a day of Oregon's camp on June 26th. I like both of those schools a lot and if one of them were to offer, I would think about jumping on it.
"Right now it's hard to say because I need to see how well I fit in there and how much I like it there. It's a possibility though, I do want to commit before the season so I'm just going to go out there and do my best and see what happens."
