Kates quiet as usual

Last weekend four-star defensive tackle Jason Kates was scheduled to visit College Park, Md. to check out the Terps. The Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt prospect didn't make the trip. Rivals found out what's going on with the 6-foot-2, 324-pounder.
"I didn't go last weekend because I decided that I wanted to move it back to January 13th," he said. "At the moment, I don't even know if I'll be going down there then. We'll just have to wait and see what happens when that comes."

Kates confirmed that he has not scheduled any other official visits at this time, but he has narrowed his list. The No. 11 player in the Keystone State is pretty tight lipped about who he's looking at.
"I'd rather not say which schools I am down to at this point," he said. "I can tell you that I am planning to take all four of my remaining official visits for sure in January though."
In the last couple weeks, the No. 17 defensive tackle in the country has received in-home visits from Michigan, Minnesota, Maryland and Syracuse.
"Basically they all told me more about their schools and stuff like that," he said. "I think all of them had their good points and they were all pretty decent in-home visits."
