Karl Joseph has a top six

Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater safety Karl Joseph has had a quiet summer away from the recruiting process to consider his list of scholarship offers, and the three-star safety prospect has identified six schools that hold the most interest for him.
"Right now I'm thinking about Florida, Tennessee, UCF, West Virginia, South Carolina and Cincinnati," Joseph said. "That's just the top group at this point. Those schools are the ones I plan on taking trips to. We'll see how things go when the season starts because recruiting will start picking up again then."

Joseph, the nation's No. 27 ranked safety prospect, talked about each of his six schools and what attracts him to those programs.
Cincinnati: "I'm real cool with the recruiting coordinator and I talk to him at least once a week.
UCF: "That is the home town team, so I've been there a lot and know all the coaches.
Tennessee: "They offered in late spring and I just like the football program's history. They run a good defense.
Florida: "They were my favorite team as a kid growing up. I talk to Coach [Travaris] Robinson a lot and have been up there three times.
South Carolina: "I talk to Coach Jeep Hunter a lot and he tells me everything about the school. I was supposed to take a trip up there during the spring, but I didn't get to so I am looking to take a trip up there.
West Virginia: "They offered awhile back. I love the defense they run because they have a lot of DB's. I talk to Coach [David] Lockwood at least once a week."
A camp visit at Florida was Joseph's only recruiting-related trip Joseph took this summer. He had plans to visit Tennessee as well, but was unable to make that trip. More visits are expected before Joseph makes his final decision, but he has no set timetable for committing.
"I am going to take my time, but as soon as I know where I want to go I am going to commit," Joseph said.
