Kareem visits Louisville this weekend

Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison 2016 defensive end Khalid Kareem has picked up 14 offers in the last six weeks, but his own team's schedule has prevented him from making college visits. Harrison's season came to an end in the state semifinals last weekend, though, and Kareem plans to hit the road on Saturday.
"I am going to Louisville this weekend for the Kentucky game," Kareem said. "I just want to see the campus and how the team performs live. I've watched them on TV, but I just want to see them in-person."

Louisville is one of those 14 schools that have offered Kareem since mid-October and the junior defensive end reacted to his recruitment changing so rapidly.
"It's really humbling," he said. "I am very grateful just to know that my college is already paid for. I just have to keep working even harder knowing that everyone is watching now."
No further visits have been scheduled following this weekend's trip to Louisville, but Kareem plans to be on the road a lot this off-season.
"We are going to try to get to most of the schools that have visited us," Kareem said. "If we don't get a chance to visit other ones, we'll try to keep in communication with them."
The three most recent schools to extend an offer to Kareem are Maryland, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
"They are all big offers," he said. "There's not a school more than the others that stands out in particular right now."
A junior season in which he totaled 85 tackles and 19 sacks is largely responsible for the recent wave of offers for the 6-fot-4, 240-pound Kareem.
