Johnstown (Pa.) Westmont Hilltop athlete Brad Kanuch still has official visits scheduled with Virginia on November 11th and Maryland on December 2nd. Has the 6-foot-0, 178-pounder with 4.26-second speed decided on anyone else for officials?
"I'm really starting to consider Wake Forest and Connecticut," he said. "I really like Wake. They are having ups and downs, but they are in a tough conference and are in every game. Connecticut has had a good year although they just lost to Rutgers as I believe they are still trying to find a quarterback. Their running game is great though and I've heard a lot of good things about the program. Wake hasn't officially offered, but I do hold a track scholarship from Connecticut."
Kanuch's fifth official is between Akron and Toledo.
One school appears to have dropped from the three-star prospect's list.
"I just got news that Boston College has filled up all their defensive back spots, so it appears that they are pulling away from me," he said. "I'm a little disappointed by that, but I understand they've got to do what they got to do. It's probably my fault partly too for taking so long."
The 5-3 Hilltoppers have an important game this Friday at Martinsburg Central which determines if they'll make the playoffs.
"We are one game away from the playoffs and we have to win," he said. "Martinsburg is 2-6 on the year, but they have talent and it'll be a tougher game than it sounds.
"This season I've been doing pretty well, in the last couple games I've had 170 and 180 yards rushing. I'm running a lot harder now running over people and making better moves. My offensive line is also much improved from earlier in the year which has helped a lot too."
In seven games this season Kanuch has run for 900 yards and 12 touchdowns. He's added nine receptions for 200 yards and one touchdown.
