Kansas TE has good camp

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Kansas City (Kan.) Sumner Academy tight end Bryan Moten showed off his versatility on Friday. That's when he spent almost the entire NIKE Training Camp at the University of Missouri working out at receiver.
At 6-foot-3, 233-pounds, Moten could easily be one of those tight ends that does play also in the receiver mold in college.

"I'm playing receiver more at school, so I came out here today and worked out at the position," Moten said. "I figured maybe I'd get some more looks at receiver. That's cool, because I think I could play either way at tight end or receiver. I just want to find a way to get on the field wherever I play at."
Moten has had a pretty good couple of weeks. Before performing well at the NIKE Camp, he recently took second in the state in the discus. He said he was not expecting to do as well as he did, despite having a good track season.
"That pretty much shocked me," he said. "I didn't expect to do that good. This was my first time at state, so I wasn't expecting to go out there and take second in the discus. I started off high, but it was just a really good throw that got me over the edge."
Moten is still searching for his first scholarship offer, but it's not from a lack of interest.
"I got a couple of calls in May," he said. "I got one the other day from Colorado State and K-State also called me. Nobody is ready to officially offer me yet. They want to pretty much see me at camp. I'm going to show them the same thing I did today. I will destroy anybody that's in front of me."
