Kansas TE adds Pac 10 offer

Everybody in Kansas City knows about star linebacker Brian Smith at Overland Park (Kan.) St. Thomas Aquinas.
But more and more people are starting to discover that 6-foot-2, 210-pound tight end Drake Dunsmore is an excellent prospect also, and he received a major offer on Saturday from a Pac 10 school.

"I got offered by Arizona State," Dunsmore said excitedly. "That's definitely a big one from a big-time conference. Coach Bill Miller has been very interested in me for a while and they visited the school and called in May."
Dunsmore already had offers on the table from Colorado State and New Mexico, but recent new offers from Arizona State, Tulsa and Western Michigan definitely have allowed him to get more excited about his future.
"There was a point where I wasn't sure what was going to happen," Dunsmore said. "I'm starting to feel really good about what might happen this year on the field, and I'm excited that schools like me enough early on to offer me scholarships."
After the Arizona State offer, Dunsmore said he's also interested in learning more about all the schools on his list. The Tulsa offer is definitely an intriguing one, he said.
"They have an amazing tradition for tight ends," Dunsmore said about Tulsa.
