Kansas tackle will get first D1 offer

After a solid junior year and summer camps several college recruiters were taking a hard look at Jervon Graves.
The defensive tackle from Olathe South in Kansas is starting to see his interest pick back up. This week coaches from Utah State are expected to offer him.

"The defensive coordinator from Utah State is excited to have Jervon and is surprised he has not been offered yet," said Olathe South head coach Mark Littrell.
Graves is a two-time, first team Sunflower League selection. He is also a two-time, first team All-Metro selection according to the Kansas City Star.
This season, the 6-foot-1, 305 pounder recorded 69 tackles, six for a loss, and caused three fumbles. Several coaches in the Kansas City area felt he was one of the better defensive linemen they have seen this season.
"Several opposing coaches have said that Jervon is one of the most dominating defensive linemen to come out of the KC Metro area," Litrrell said. "He is very explosive and runs from sideline to sideline making tackles. He is coachable and has great leadership qualities Jervon plays hard and gives maximum effort on every play."
Other schools have been showing interest. But it looks like Utah State, who plays in the WAC, will be the first division one school to make a move on Graves.
